'Tis the Season'

We’re moving to Albuquerque in June and my parents recently visited Atlanta for their final time. My dad loves old school porters and old school porters are great autumn beers. So I made a porter.
I was aiming for a slightly roasty, low abv beer with some good chocolate notes. I think I got pretty close to that profile with a little too much roast and the color was a little more red than I think a porter is supposed to be – but to be fair, it’s a great color.
My dad really enjoy the beer and that was the most important thing. I also have drank a lot of it on the front porch this fall while the leaves change.
My Recipe.
My Notes.
My Readings.
What would I do differently if I make this beer again? * Next time I make this beer I’m going to use less chocolate and maris otter malt and increase the brown malt a little bit for less roast, more chocolate, and a darker color.
